Seeing once is better than hearing a thousand times

Journalists from Fergana visited the Center of Islamic Civilization and witnessed that this complex is a great and unique miracle unprecedented in our history.

This center was initiated by a decree of our President dated June 23, 2017, and the head of state laid the foundation stone of its foundation on the day of Eid al-Fitr in 2018.

The extremely magnificent center building consists of three floors and is built in the style of our ancient architectural monuments.

The harmonious combination of national domes and portals, and ornaments has given it a special beauty and grandeur.

On the four sides of the complex, portals 34 meters high have been built, and a dome 65 meters high in the center.

The center houses copies of the Holy Quran written during the Samanid, Karakhanid, Khwarazmshah, Uzbek Khan, Timurid, and other historical dynasties, along with their translations into Old Uzbek. We witnessed the inclusion of samples of the world's rarest handwritten Qurans.

We gained a lot of impressions from the sections of the complex: "Pre-Islamic Civilizations", "First Renaissance Period", "Second Renaissance Period", "Uzbekistan in the 20th Century", "New Uzbekistan – New Renaissance".

The history of these periods is presented through various artifacts, manuscript sources, photographs, and multimedia tools.

Information is provided about the multifaceted activities of scholars and thinkers such as Khwarizmi, Farghani, Farabi, Beruni, Ibn Sino, Burhaniddin Marg'inani, Mahmud Zamakhshari, Mirzo Ulugbek, Alisher Navoi, Bobur Mirzo, Ali Qushchi.

The contributions of scholars such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Hakim Termizi, Abu Mansur Moturidi, Abu Muin Nasafi, Qaffal Shashi, Abdulkhaliq Gijduvani, Najmiddin Kubra, Bahauddin Naqshband, Khoja Ahror Vali to Islamic enlightenment are thoroughly illuminated.

In addition, the complex provides information about the activities of famous women who left a deep mark on our history, such as Bibikhanim, Khonzodabegim, Gavharshodbegim, Gulbadan, Nodirabegim, Uvaysi, Anbar Otin, as patrons of science and enlightenment.

At the end of our visit to the center, the animation about the revelation of the Quran was very touching for all of us.

Much can be said about the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, which has been included in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest museum. It is not for nothing that it is said that seeing once is better than hearing a thousand times.
